Urgent Prayer Request from Africa

One of the ministries we partner with when we are in Uganda is African Hearts.  I have mentioned them many times here.  African Hearts was started by several young men, each having grown up on the streets, then in their teen years came to Christ when Christians began to show them God's true love.

African Hearts now has two 'family' style homes where boys off the streets live, hearing the love of Jesus and being part of a 'family'. The young men who started and run this ministry are amazing.  They are the ones that call Dw and I "mum" and "dad".   {In fact when Dw got off the plane in Kampala, one of the first things these four young men asked was, 'When is mum coming?  We miss her!"}

Anyway, Dw phoned me this morning with an urgent prayer request.  One of the boys in the Kampala African Hearts home is extremely ill.  Dw has been to the hospital to see him, to talk to the doctors and to pray over him.   He is now taking some of the team back with him to pray according to James 5:14.  The boys name is Davis {I remember meeting him when I was in Africa} and he is about 15 years old.

His symptoms are life-threatening.   I could hear the gravity of the situation in Dw's voice.

I told Dw I would post the prayer request and ask you, my sweet bloggy friends, to pray.  Pray hard!  Pray for wisdom for Dw and the others as they pray over him.   There is no doubt that Almighty God rescued Davis off the streets for a specific purpose....please pray that that purpose would be accomplished in his life.

This is one of those times where you are caring for the orphan by praying for a young boy who does not have a mom or dad to intercede for him.   Would you pray like you were his mom or dad?  I will keep you posted!
