May Almighty GOD and His Power Be Praised!!!

They had originally said that no one
could be in there when
they attempted to wake him up.
If he thrashed about they did not want
the family to see him have to be restrained.

But surprisingly they let Bob and Vicki and Ryan remain.
For over an hour Bob, Vicki and Ryan tried to get Karl to wake up as he came off the sedatives.

After 40 minutes Vicki texted Autumn and said,

"40 minutes, no response."

Autumn started to shake uncontrollably and sob.

Fifty-five minutes and again a text,

"55 minutes, no response."

We were out here in the waiting room interceding.

All of a sudden there was a text:

"The doctor screamed at him and then tried
pain stimulus and he pulled away."

We all fell apart.

Vicki just came out and explained that they were gently saying, "Come on Karl, wake up..."

When the doctor came in he said, "I'm not going to be as nice as you have been being....."

and proceeded to grab Karl's hand tightly and leaning over the bed screamed, "KARL WAKE UP!  AND PULL AWAY FROM MY HAND."

Which Karl did immediately!!

Then the doctor was stimulating his eyes
and he was moving them some.

The doctor said that he had met goal for today.

*sobs, sobs and more sobs*

The power of ALMIGHTY GOD.

And friends praying?

YOU ARE PART OF THIS MIRACLE!!

Doc said it would be a long process.

Please don't stop praying for all the things
I listed a couple of posts ago.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank  you from all of the Karl Vigil hanging here at the medical center......

  27. I went to my solitude place for prayer and asked God to reveal a verse to me. This is what He told me. Psalms 91:14-15 Because he loves me, "says the Lord, " I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

I know God will heal and give Karl a beautiful life. God confides in those who fear Him. I know God spoke this verse to me. Continuing to pray.

  36. Yay! So exciting to hear!

I didn't sign up for prayer on the list because I did not want to forget, I know me too well. Call it what you will... but I have been praying whenever the Lord lays Karl on my heart (which is often). I just wanted to share that today while I was by myself making beds for the preschoolers I began praying, and then I heard Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" and I just kept hearing it as I prayed over and over again. I don't know if that's for Karl or Autumn or quite possibly both, but it happened when I was in my quiet time praying for him yesterday as well. God's hand is all over this and it is so exciting to see.

Stay strong, God's up to something!

Oh and one more thing, today after praying for Karl and Autumn and his family this song popped in my head and I laughed out loud, but it fits. "Oh I went to the enemies camp and I took back what he stole from me, took back what he stole from me....."

  37. I can't sign up for a specific hour to pray since we have company but I have been praying throughout my days :)

  38. Totally crying! Thank you Jesus!!! Right before Christmas my dear FIL had a medical complication with some of his medications (he's been living with chronic pain for over a decade) and ended up almost dying. He was resuscitated and put on a ventilator. When he was in his coma-like state and when we didn't know if he'd ever wake up and if he did what brain damage he might have - it was SO terrifying! When he did wake up, and fully functioning?? Wow! What an amazing miracle. Reading this about Karl took me back to that hospital room. Continuing to Pray for Karl and Praise Jesus, from whom all blessings flow!!!

    The LORD'S right hand is lifted high;

  46. Satan will go to huge lengths to try and get your focus off the orphan and those two dear children you are trying to get home. But God is great and He is the winner. Here in Australia I am remembering to pray many times a day. Thank you Lord for all that you have already done. You have your keeping hand on Karl or he would have been gone . Thank you for his continued improvement until he becomes the young man you want him to be.

I see a young man standing in a church totally sold out for you, giving a powerful testimony.

Love to you and the family.

  52. YIPPEEE JESUS!

I can't help but remember those days in the hospital with my uncle, waiting and waiting for signs of life returning to him... Sometimes we would see little glimmers of hope, but then they would fade, and ultimately his time came to an end.

How much JOY you must be experiencing right now watching Karl come back to life bit by bit! And he WILL continue to regain his life & strength! Through tears of joy, we will all continue to pray for him to be fully restored... AND then to testify boldly to the great power of the ONE and ONLY GOD who healed him!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for allowing all of us to share in this part of the journey with you. What a privilege!

    Love you!
