An Open Love Letter to My Sweet Husband

Whitey, would you have ever guessed that 33 years ago TODAY 

when we stood before our family and friends

at Amherst Baptist Church in Tonawanda, New York

that 33 years later we would be bringing home a 

sweet baby girl and precious 10 year old girl

making that officially number 11 and 12?

Dear best friend of mine - 

we have had quite a ride...

Many joys, some struggles, too many trials

yet through them all 

we have loved each other

we have loved all our treasures

and we have loved others 

{even when they haven't necessarily 'deserved' it}

And babe, there is no one on earth that 

I would rather be spending my days loving, 

snuggling with 

and sleeping beside...

No one today would believe all the work you 

have allowed the Lord to do in your life.

You are a man of God.

You are a man of integrity.

You are a man who loves with reckless abandon

{and frankly, I find that extremely sexy}

Don't know many 30-somethings who would fall in love 

with a 6 lb. little 10 month old treasure with hydrocephalus

and tell the orphanage director that they would do anything for her, 

so that the orphanage director would take them up 

on that offer and ask if they would adopt and they would say "yes"...

No babe, no one I know...

Only YOU...

and you are 56!  

You are truly my hero!!

I love you with all my heart

and I am so thankful that 33+ years ago you invited me to spend the rest of my life with you...cause babe you are the best and I am so thankful that you are mine.
